Changes to consular and visa fees
As a result of recent currency fluctuation the Consular and Visa fees have been revised to reflect new exchange rates effective 30th June. For those who have an application, that has not been submitted to the Visa Section please consult the Visas for the UK and Passport section for new fees.

Urgent notice to the public
The British Embassy computer network is temporarily offline. Because of this any visa applicants who submitted their application on 24 or 25 may 2009 may not receive a decision on their applications for upto 10 days. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause, but until engineers are able to fix the prblem we cannot process any applications.
Further any emails sent to any email adress within the British Embassy since Sunday 24th May will not receive a response until the system is fixed.

Following news that remarks by Ayatollah Jannati suggest some of our local staff in Iran may face trial, Foreign Secretary, David Miliband, stressed that 'we are urgently seeking clarification from the appropriate Iranian authorities'.
